There are so many things to think about and consider when you are planning your wedding in Cork. Luckily, there are also many beautiful wedding venues in Cork they offer character great service and comfort and most importantly stunning views and backdrops in this beautiful county.

Whether you are planning a small intimate wedding or a slightly larger event you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to planning your wedding.

Getting Married at Barnabrow House

One of the best Cork wedding venues, Barnabrow House Hotel is an intimate wedding venue located in east cork offering a unique wedding venue experience in a setting that feels tucked away from the rest of the world. It is close to cork city that situated in the beautiful East court countryside.

Barnabrow House would be one of my favorite wedding venues to work at. I was married there myself, so it holds a special place in my heart, I also work there often and have always enjoyed my experience photographing couples on the grounds.

As well as the beautiful green surroundings at the venue there are many quirky doorways, pathways, backdrops and nooks and crannies to make your photographs colorful and interesting.

This is important to me as a documentary wedding photographer as great backgrounds and venues make taking interesting photographs of your big day a lot more achievable.

I can't even count how many times I have photographed weddings at Barnabrow House but I always seem to find something fresh, new and exciting to incorporate in the bride and grooms photos.

When the dinner and dancing is all said and done the party continues down in the private quarters where you can sing away the night at your own pace whatever that pace may be. I know from my own experience getting married at Barnabrow House Hotel That even waking up for breakfast the next morning on these grounds left me with very fond memories that I will treasure.

There is a charm to this old country house that I know my couples have really enjoyed and I enjoy too.

The food is also well worth a mention as your meal is important too, All the food is sourced from local farmers and produce farms and is nothing short of amazing.

If you are looking to incorporate some character and color into your special day this could be the wedding venue for you.

Maryborough House Hotel has one of the loveliest rooms for a Civil Ceremony in Cork that I have worked in. Flowers hang from above and the room is filled with light which is a wedding photographer’s dream come true.

It's a stunning intimate experience that offers lots of charm to your wedding ceremony and there is no need to worry about rainfall which we all know as an added bonus living here in this beautiful, lush country.

The grounds are always well looked after by the staff and always offer a very smart and beautiful backdrop for both couple and family photographs.

Maryborough House Hotel is located remarkably close to cork city but surrounded by beautiful woodlands, you would not actually know you were so close to a city. A very handy location and no need to leave the grounds for your wedding photos as it is all here on the grounds.

The staff at Maryborough House Hotel are incredibly accommodating and helpful and have gone to great lengths to help me, as a cork wedding photographer get shots of an entire wedding party and a very easygoing manner this is always most appreciated. As a bride and groom, you will be well looked after here.

The stairwell shot is a classic and the surrounding area includes small forestry-like settings and lush greens for beautiful couple portraits on the day.

So, if you're looking for a stunning venue close to the city but far enough away for an intimate experience Maryborough Hotel comes highly recommended by me and I look forward to working many more weddings at this venue in the future

Planning your Wedding at Innishannon?

When your venue is situated next to the river you are already winning the day! Innishannon House Hotel is a boutique wedding venue located in beautiful West cork.

They offer a selection of impressive rooms for morning preparations and the grounds are nothing short of stunning. With wedding photos in mind, you will be situated next to the river surrounded by beautiful trees and stunning views. Some rooms offer stunning views of the River Bandon and each room is decorated with antiques and beautiful artwork. These details tie everything together to give you that real country house experience.  

I have enjoyed photographing many weddings at this venue and always look forward to returning. The staff are extremely helpful and there is plenty of room for those large full wedding party group shots.

Most importantly there are beautiful little spaces for those intimate winning couple shots also you will be spoiled for choice and will not have to leave the venue to cover all your winning photography needs. 

Cork Wedding venue Springfort Hall is perfect

Springfort Hall Hotel is a four-star wedding venue located in cork in a beautiful lush green setting perfect for wedding photos.

In summertime there are many spots for great photographs on the beautiful grounds and for autumn and winter weddings you have the comforts of the inside of the house with roaring fires and cozy rooms for lovely bride and groom photos and family portraits.

The staff at Springfort Hall Hotel a very accommodating and helpful and take very good care of the bride and groom and lucky for me, the photographer as well!

The ceremony room provides an intimate experience that your guests will enjoy and feel a part of your special moment.

I love photographing weddings at Springfort Hall. The house itself is very photogenic and there is lots of space just outside the front door to gather friends and family for those all-important family slightly larger group wedding photos. No one has to move far from the bar and this always a good thing. 

The stunning Ballymaloe House Hotel

This is such a special Cork wedding venue full of character and charm.

Ballymaloe House Hotel is a beautiful award-winning family-owned country house in east cork you couldn't ask for more as far as wedding photography goes the grounds offer many beautiful backdrops for your bride and groom photos and lovely locations for your wedding reception to get those important documentary style wedding photos.

Ballymaloe House Hotel is renowned for its incredible cuisine and all the produce is grown in their walled garden right there on the grounds.

The country charm carries through all individually named bedrooms, decorated with a quaint floral themed wallpaper and room furnishings. The details marry a luxury experience with timeless elegance.

Ballymaloe House Hotel offer a private dining experience so if you were looking for a beautiful intimate wedding in east cork this is definitely a wedding venue to consider.

Inish Beg Estate is a Cork wedding venue full of magic

What can I say about amazing when it comes to this special Wedding venue in West Cork. Inish Beg Estate is an amazing hideaway where you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to your wedding photos.

English pig is located on a secluded island with a bridged entrance which leads you into a very romantic setting that you and your guests will most definitely remember forever. There is nothing quite like a wedding ceremony at Inish Beg Estate.

The Boathouse offers incredible views as you are getting ready during the morning (last time I was there we were visited by a seal swimming by!)

Enjoy a unique Wedding Ceremony at the woodland pond with picturesque arched bridge leading to the little island at its centre. It is a dreamlike setting and an amazing place for a wedding photographer that is for sure!

There is also a sheltered walled garden with vibrant flower beds, myriad paths and garden benches which is another ideal location for outdoor wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions.
