There is a reason Kerry is known as "The Kingdom." From the mist-covered peaks of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks to the turquoise waters of the Atlantic, it is a place of pure beauty. Choosing a wedding photographer in Kerry is about more than just finding someone with a camera; it’s about finding a visual storyteller who understands the unique soul of the county. My name is Sean. My journey into wedding photography began with a passion for capturing the small, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting a huge amount of weddings across Kerry, developing a style that is as much about the people as it is about the aesthetics. My goal is to make sure you feel entirely at ease, so the photos we create together are a true reflection of your personality.
When I’m not behind the camera at a beautiful Irish manor or a coastal ceremony, I’m constantly refining my craft and exploring new ways to tell stories through light and emotion. I pride myself on being more than just a vendor; I’m a calm presence on your wedding day, dedicated to preserving your memories in a way that feels timeless, vibrant, and uniquely yours.
As a photographer, Kerry offers a diverse palette of light and texture. The "Kerry Light" is world-famous; the way the sun breaks through the clouds over the lakes of Killarney or sets behind the Skellig Islands creates a natural drama that no studio could ever replicate. Choosing a wedding photographer in Kerry means you will have hundreds of beautiful and unique photo opportunities to choose from. It really is the perfect place to capture your special day.

For me, Wedding Photography is the art of storytelling with my camera.
Every story is unique and every story is super special.
My approach is to slip into the lives of the couple for one day and capture the moments that tell their love story without making a fuss or a big noise and just letting them relax and be themselves.
I capture the most chilled and natural photos I can in Kerry.
I believe that people look their best when they are being themselves and this what I try to bring out of the day.
"We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Sean! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to capture every beautiful moment of our outdoor wedding day.
His eye for detail, creativity, and calm presence made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable.
We wholeheartedly recommend Sean Clarke Photography!"
Kerry is the elopement capital of Ireland. As an adventure-loving Kerry wedding photographer, I love guiding couples to "off-the-beaten-path" spots like the Gap of Dunloe, the cliffs of Slea Head, or the hidden waterfalls of Glenbeigh. If you want to trade the ballroom for a mountain top, I’m the photographer to take you there.
Planning a wedding in Ireland comes with its own set of joys and challenges. On my blog, I share tips for couples, from how to plan for a rainy-day photoshoot to my favourite hidden gems for engagement sessions in County Kerry. I also feature recent 'Real Weddings' to give you a deeper look at how a full day of documentary photography unfolds.
Staying informed helps you stay relaxed. Whether you’re looking for venue inspiration or practical advice on your wedding timeline, my latest articles are designed to help you make the most of your celebration. "Sean was great to work with. Very relaxed and not imposing but ensured we got the photos we needed on our wedding day. Really happy with the quality of the photos and the turnaround time from wedding day to photos in hand. Can't recommend Sean enough!"
We want photos at the Gap of Dunloe or Ross Castle. Is it hard to coordinate?
A.These are iconic spots for a reason, but they can get busy with tourists. As an experienced Kerry wedding photographer, I recommend hitting these spots early or during "shoulder hours."
How do we handle the Kerry weather?
A.In Kerry, you can have four seasons in one hour! I always bring professional lighting for indoor shots and umbrellas that look great in photos if we decide to embrace the mist.
Can we do a "Day After" shoot on the Dingle Peninsula?
A.Highly recommended! Kerry is so big that it’s often hard to see everything on the wedding day. A relaxed shoot the next day allows us to visit spots like Coumeenoole Beach without any time pressure.
Is it possible to do a "First Look" in Killarney National Park?
A.Absolutely. Killarney National Park has some incredibly quiet, wooded groves and lakeside jetties that are perfect for a private, intimate first look before your ceremony. It’s a great way to calm the nerves and get some stunning portraits while your hair and makeup are at their freshest.
When will the photos be ready?
A.6-8 weeks after the big day. Often earlier but this is a realistic time frame.
How do you handle travel between different Kerry locations?
A.Kerry is a big county with some winding roads! During our pre-wedding consultation, I help you map out a timeline that accounts for "Kerry miles" (which always take a bit longer than Google Maps says). I’m fully mobile and happy to drive to multiple locations, from the morning prep in Dingle to a reception in Kenmare.
What are the best "hidden gems" for photos near Tralee or Killarney?
A.Everyone knows the main spots, but I love taking couples to the quieter locations like the Ballyseede Woods, the Old Weir Bridge, or the back lanes of the Viking-influenced streets in Ardfert. These spots offer privacy and a unique look that sets your gallery apart from the standard tourist shots.
Do you offer "Day After" adventure sessions in Kerry?
A.This is one of my favourite things to do. Kerry has so much to offer that it’s impossible to see it all on your wedding day. A "Day After" shoot allows us to hike a little further or drive out to the Skellig Coast or Slea Head for epic, high-fashion style portraits without the time constraints of a reception timeline.
