Meet Your Limerick Wedding Photographer

There is a unique energy to Limerick—a mix of deep-rooted history, incredible street art, and a warm, down-to-earth spirit. As a Limerick wedding photographer, my mission is to capture that exact energy on your wedding day. I don’t believe in stiff poses or forced smiles; instead, I focus on the authentic rhythm of your celebration, from the nervous excitement of the morning prep to the unbridled joy of the late-night dancefloor.

I’ve spent years honing a style that is both editorial and approachable. Whether you are planning a chic city ceremony overlooking the River Shannon or a grand country house affair in the shadows of the Galtee Mountains, I am there to document the small details and the big emotions that make your story yours. I will make sure you can look back on your special day and feel the beauty of Limerick in every frame.

Why Limerick is the Perfect Wedding Backdrop

Limerick provides a versatile canvas that few other Irish counties can match. The city itself is a treasure trove of Georgian architecture, offering symmetry and light that is a dream for high-end portraits. Just a short drive away, the landscape shifts into the lush, fertile plains of the Golden Vale, providing a soft, romantic setting for more traditional or rustic weddings.

The light in Limerick has a particular quality, especially as it reflects off the Shannon during the "golden hour." Whether we are using the rugged stone walls of King John’s Castle as a backdrop or the manicured lawns of an Adare estate, I thrive on using Limerick’s diverse textures to create images that are as timeless as the city itself.

Keep it Natural and Relaxed

Just be yourselves

For me, Wedding Photography is the art of storytelling with my camera.
Every story is unique and every story is super special.
My approach is to slip into the lives of the couple for one day and capture the moments that tell their love story without making a fuss or a big noise and just letting them relax and be themselves.
I capture the most chilled and natural photos I can in Limerick.
I believe that people look their best when they are being themselves and this what I try to bring out of the day.

Modern Portraits with an Urban Edge

One of my favorite things to do as a Limerick wedding photographer is to take a 20-minute stroll through the city streets with a newly married couple. Limerick’s vibrant street art, red-brick Georgian doorways, and the industrial charm of the quays offer a modern, high-fashion contrast to traditional wedding attire. It’s a chance for you to catch your breath, enjoy a quiet moment together, and get some truly unique, "non-weddingy" wedding photos that stand out from the crowd.

FAQ

We are getting married in Adare but it's very busy with tourists. Can we still get private photos?

A.Adare is popular, but I know all the "secret" spots away from the main streets. Whether it's a quiet corner of the park or a lesser-known path by the river, we can find plenty of privacy to ensure your portraits feel intimate and relaxed.

Do you recommend any specific spots in Limerick City for rainy day photos?

A.Absolutely. Limerick has some fantastic indoor or covered options, such as the Milk Market’s architecture, the grand hallways of The Hunt Museum, or even the stylish, moody interiors of the city's top boutique hotels. We never let the weather stop us from getting the perfect shot.

We are planning a civil ceremony in Limerick. Do you have experience with non-traditional venues?

A.Yes! I love shooting in unique spaces like No. 1 Pery Square, the People’s Museum, or even private galleries. Limerick has some incredible alternative venues that really suit a documentary photography style.

How do we get those iconic "King John's Castle" shots?

A.The best views of the castle are actually from across the river on Clancy Strand. I timed my shoots to catch the light hitting the stone just right, usually around sunset, to give you that epic, historical silhouette.

When will the photos be ready?

A.6-8 weeks after the big day. Often earlier but this is a realistic time frame.

We want that "Limerick City" look. Where do you recommend for urban portraits?

A.I love starting at Nicholas Street for a bit of medieval grit and then moving toward the Living Bridge at UL for a sleek, modern architectural look. If you want something truly "Limerick," we can head to the Clancy Strand side of the river just as the sun sets, it gives you the most iconic view of the city skyline and the castle reflected in the Shannon.

How do we incorporate the "River Shannon" into our wedding photos?

A.The river is the lifeblood of Limerick. I recommend a stroll along the Three Bridges Walk. The glass panels and steel of the bridges, combined with the movement of the water, create dynamic, energetic photos that perfectly capture the spirit of a modern Limerick wedding.
